We are seeking a new Director of Music

We are seeking a new Director of Music

St Philip & All Saints (the Barn Church), Kew is seeking a Director of Music who will work collaboratively with our Vicar to grow and develop music at our church: to enhance our worship, encourage and enable our congregation through music, and further our outreach in our wider community.

St Philip & All Saints (The Barn Church) is a friendly and inclusive church in Kew (Diocese of Southwark) which appreciates a breadth of church music from traditional to modern. We have a Forster and Andrews 1894 two-manual organ and blowing plant, maintained by Henry Willis & Sons, and a grand piano.

We are seeking someone with skills to be: competent organist and pianist to play at our weekly Sunday morning service, Holy Week and Christmas, and occasional offices when available; choir director; worship band director

The role would suit a creative, enthusiastic and imaginative musician who can nurture our (unrobed) choir and help us develop our existing worship band which aims to encourage and involve our young people and older children.

For more information, including a Job Description (which details remuneration and fees), contact our parish office (office@kewbenefice.org). If you would like an informal conversation about the role, please contact our Vicar, Reverend Dr Melanie Harrington-Haynes.

Applications to be received by: Friday 21st June Auditions and interviews: Monday 1st July
