On Saturday 17th June we will be joining in The Great Get Together under the oak tree at the West end of the Barn Church, on the corner of Marksbury Avenue and Atwood Avenue, from 3pm until 6pm.

There will be lots of fun activities and music throughout the afternoon, as well as an opportunity to discuss all that is good in our community. Do come for the afternoon, or pop in for part of it.

The purpose of the Great Get Together is to remember Jo Cox MP, who was murdered during the EU referendum campaign a year ago. Jo Cox’s well known phrase, “We have far more in common with each other than things that divide us” has become the watchword for current efforts at community-building across the country.

So bring your picnic, help us cut a special cake, write a message about what is good in our community or take part in the big balloon release at 5.30. The event is entirely free – bring your family, invite your firends: come and help us make our community stronger.
